On Friday Nights at Shiloh Ridge, military families gather to share a potluck meal, followed by Bible study. Our studies are possibly different than you’re used to; Lanny teaches through books of the Bible, small chunks at a time. Thus, you’ll receive the whole context of any given passage, just like the Author intended.
What about kids? We take care of them too! Children 5th grade and under should come having already eaten dinner, and will go straight to their class (preschool or elementary). Elementary kids will have outside play time and a short lesson, while toddlers/preschoolers will be in their room playing the whole time. Caregivers include adults and teenagers (and a Fort Campbell Watchcare worker for the preschool). Sixth grade and up stay with the adults.
By 8:15, the study is over, children are released to their parents’ supervision, and we fellowship over coffee and dessert. This ministry model deepens friendships, discipleship and rest, enabling you to return to Army Life encouraged and equipped.
